NO.MO is a project on a utopian society in which there is no food waste.
Approximately one third of the food producedin the world is thrown away. This problem beginswith buying your meal in a supermarket. For example when you buy a one-person meal, the portion size is already bigger than health authorities advise.
This one-size fits all mentality that exists in our society has to change. Food should become more personal.
In the NO.MO society your hands guide you and all the members have learned to be satisfied with what you need instead of what you want. Their hand shows them what they need. For instance, the size of your palm advises the amount of protein you should eat and the volume of your fist the amount of carbs you need. Living this way reduces the amount of food-waste and makes you and the world healthier.
This project was a collaboration with Claire Ouwejan.
